Miss Julie Kirby honored Kam Henson and Jake Brewer with an engagement party on Saturday, October 16th at the April Sound Clubhouse in April Sound. Numerous friends, wedding party attendees and family were present to celebrate with the couple.
Kam is the daughter of Karen and Robert Henson of Montgomery. She graduated from Montgomery High School Class of 2000 and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville where she majored in dance and elementary education. Kam is employed by Armstrong Elementary School in Conroe.
Jake is the son of Caryn and Don Brewer of Conroe. Jake graduated from Conroe High School Class of 1997 and Texas A&M University Class of 2002. Jake is employed with American Rod Smith in Magnolia.
Jake proposed to Kam on January 16, 2004 and a spring 2005 wedding is planned for the couple.
Miss Julie Kirby a long time friend of the bride will serve as her Maid of Honor. A mutual friend of the couple, Miss Amanda Rusch, introduced the couple on a blind date. Amanda is one of the Bridesmaids, along with Lauren Vincent, a friend of the bride, Kristen Henson, sister of the bride and Erica Riley, sister of the groom.
Mark Finch will serve as Bestman, Groomsmen include Aaron Williams, Chris Tusi, Brandon Nance and Zach Ehlers. Ushers are John Crockett, Charlie Edinburgh and Bobby Sims, friends of the bride and groom.
