April Sound Ladies
Association’s Holiday Gala included many
members and guests.

A sports park around the POA building
in April Sound is rapidly taking place,
thanks to the hard work of volunteers from
the residents. The jogging/walking path is
complete, a horseshoe pitching area is
well underway, basketball hoops are up and
ball fields are laid out. Fine tuning will
be done on another work day.

Representatives from the Civic
Association and POA braved a cold Saturday
morning to work shoulder to shoulder to
get something great going for the
community. Our thanks goes to all of them
for making it possible for us to have this
recreation area.

The April Sound Ladies Association got
a jump start on the season having their
annual holiday gala on December 2. The
Lakeside Room filled with 200 members and
guests and they noshed on party fare
including shrimp, pork loin and an
interesting assortment of desserts. Food
and beverage manager Brian Lackey is
getting kudos for his hard work to make
this event a success.
Among April Sounders in the Montgomery
County Choral Society are Wayne Hickman,
Pam Sproull, Ann Marsau and Ruth Cant.
Many of us went to their Christmas Concert
at the new First United Methodist Church
on Texas 105. It was an exciting evening
of music.
