MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS

Lorraine Wyatt celebrated Mother's Day with her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Wyatt, and her grandson and his wife, Michael and Michelle Wyatt and great grandchildren Lisa and Brandon Wyatt. Lorraine's sister, Shirley Schwartz, and Lisa's boyfriend Dustin joined the family for a special lunch in The Woodlands.
Carol Clary and her husband, Ben, spent Mother's Day with their daughter Michelle Imhoff and her family. They celebrated the special day with dinner together.
Carol Clary attended a 'Mother's Day Tea' at the Montessori PreSchool in The Woodlands with her grandsons Benton and Daniel Imhoff. The mothers were served a beautiful assortment of miniature cupcakes and a choice of apple cider, tea or coffee. Carol had a great time sipping apple cider and eating one of the delicious cupcakes at the small table and chairs where the students usually eat their lunch.
Lester and Olivia Roberts combined their annual fish fry and Mother's Day celebration at their home last week. Their sons, Gary and Oliver, and soninlaw, Bob Leonard, served as the 'chief cooks' preparing a large amount of fried fish and all the trimmings.
Attending the celebration were Lester and Olivia's son and daughtersinlaw, Gary and Barbara Roberts and Oliver and Carla Roberts and their daughter and soninlaw, Cathey and Bob Leonard. Grandchildren who attended were Lori and Joey Meek, Mark Leonard, and Rex and Catherine Roberts. Six of their great grandchildren who attended were Jake and Nathan Pidillo, Alexis and Garrett Meek and fourmonthold twins Rylee Olivia and Kayla Brook Roberts.
Lester's sister Jewel Jones and his sister and brotherinlaw, Jane and Jay Aldridge were here from Conroe. Also attending the festivities were friends and neighbors Betty Laird, Gene and Ginger Gibson and Susan O'Keefe.
Olivia told me the family had a wonderful day together eating, laughing and watching the children play. The food was delicious and the weather perfect for the family celebration.
Happy Birthday wishes to Lorraine Wyatt. Lorraine celebrated her birthday at her home with her family. The grilled steaks and all the trimmings were enjoyed as the family ate outside on Lorraine's patio. Attending the party were Lorraine's son and daughterinlaw, Larry and Nancy Wyatt, grandson and wife Michael and Michelle Wyatt and great grandchildren Lisa and Brandon.
Bill and Delores Coyne and their son Jack recently returned from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio where they attended the wedding of their granddaughter Katie Coyne to Michael Wirebauth. They enjoyed spending time with their son and daughterinlaw, Gary and Terry Coyne, who were the parents of the bride.
The Coyne's loved being able to see their family and friends who attended the beautiful wedding and reception. Bill and Delores resided in the Cleveland, Ohio area before relocating to Texas.
The cold rainy weather they encountered reminded them of why they like living in Texas! They enjoyed driving the 2000+ miles for the road trip, but could have done without the continuous rain on their way home!
Mothers and Daughters from Cape Conroe attended the ballet performance of Cinderella at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion Center last week. Attending from Cape Conroe were Jane Laake and her daughter, Delaine Neels, and granddaughters, Samantha and Amber Neels. Rose Ann Zolka attended with her daughters, Shirley Filicky and Fran Allen, and granddaughters, Caitlin and Erin Allen. The girls enjoyed receiving the ballet tutus, wand and crown and the makeup like Cinderella that was provided before the performance. According to Jane and Rose Ann, the performance was wonderful. It was difficult to decide which age group had the best time at the ballet.
Members of the Cape Conroe Ladies' Society enjoyed their annual Spring Luncheon at their meeting last week. The fabulous cooks prepared a bountiful assortment of salads, entrees and desserts. Ken Jost gave a talk about the upcoming elections for Montgomery County. Be sure to vote on May 15th.
Until next week take care, be safe and give someone a hug! Have a Great Week!
