Upcoming Meeting Schedule

Saturday, June 5th is the monthly meeting for the Cape Conroe Men's Club. Drop by the clubhouse at 9:30 a.m. for a cup of coffee, donuts and fellowship. The Men's Club invites all Cape Conroe men to join them for a short business meeting followed by interesting and informative programs. This is a great way to meet your neighbors!
Tuesday, June 8th Lucile Spencer will be the guest of honor at the Cape Conroe Ladies' Society meeting at 2:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. Lucile, one of the cofounders of the Ladies Society, will share stories and experiences of the club in its infancy. Please bring any photographs you might have of meetings, parties, or trips taken by the group. Betty Laird and Pat Lasher will serve as hostesses.
Wednesday, June 9th is the monthly meeting of the Cape Conroe Property Owners' Association Board of Directors. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse.
Gilma Mauch enjoyed a 'girls only' trip to Puerto Rico with her daughters, Jacque Kohler and Stacey Kanzler. The ladies had a great time as they took the walking tour through Old San Juan. In addition to touring the lovely cathedrals and the rum factory, they did a lot of shopping and sampling the local cuisine. The ladies tried their luck at the casinos located inside the various hotels where they won a little and lost a little!
Jane Laake attended the graduation of her niece Kacey Hill from Lamarque High School. Kacey was awarded a scholarship to Tech Instructional in Clear Lake. Jane's sister and brotherinlaw, Linda and Jay Hill, hosted a party for Kacey at their home following the graduation ceremony. Also attending the graduation and party were Jane's brother and sisterinlaw, Tully and Dana Thorp, and their daughter, Kim Hale.
Jane, Tully, Dana and Kim enjoyed watching the sailboats as they ate lunch at Joe's Crab Shack in Kemah earlier in the afternoon.
Chester and Evelyn Parzyck attended their granddaughter's graduation ceremony. Stephanie Pittcock graduated from A & M Consolidated in College Station. She will attend Texas A & M College in the fall. Chester and Evelyn's son and daughterinlaw, Scooter and Gina Parzyck, hosted a party at their home following the graduation. Attending the party were Stephanie's sister, Randi, and grandparents from Tyler.
Chester and Evelyn enjoyed lunch with their family at Cheddar's Restaurant in Bryan before attending the graduation.
Chester and Evelyn also attended the graduation ceremony of Evelyn's nephew, Ray Murray, in Cumberland City, Tennessee. They spent a few days with Evelyn's sister and brotherinlaw, Wanda and Bill Murray.
Happy June Birthday wishes to Peri Beall, Helen White and Gilma Mauch. Happy June Anniversary wishes to Chester and Evelyn Parzyck, and Milton and Jane Laake.
Until next week take care, be safe and give someone a hug! Have a Great Week!
