Ben, Carol and Family Attend Renaissance Festival

Carol Clary and her grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Imhoff, riding the elephant at the Renaissance Festival. |
Ben and Carol Clary along with their daughter, Michelle Imhoff and grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin, attended the Renaissance Festival last weekend. Carol, Daniel and Benjamin rode the elephant together. Perched high atop the large animal they walked slowly around the arena. The family also had a good time riding on the giant swing.
The Clary's also enjoyed watching the parade with everyone dressed in their costumes, the jousting contest, glass blowing and the Budweiser Clysdale horses. Daniel and Benjamin rode the 14th century merrygoround that was man powered rather than engine powered and dug for crystals in the crystal cave and had their faces painted.
The family enjoyed a warm sunny day at the festival. Carol told me that the costumes are better every year.
Congratulations to Sarah Ruthstrom on being nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award from Conroe High School. One senior girl and boy were nominated from the high school by the principle, guidance counselor and coaches. The nomination is based on their academic, sports and community activities. Nominees go through a district, regional and national process for the final selection. Sarah's proud grandparents are Lester and Ruth Ruthstrom, and her parents are Stephen and Evelyn Ruthstrom.
Stella Stout recently returned from Denver, Colorado where she visited her son and daughterinlaw, Eric and Donna Stout, and her grandson, Jake. She had a great time being pampered by her family, but was glad to return home.
Chester and Evelyn Parzyck went to New Jersey to visit Chester's family. They enjoyed a few days on the beach at Ocean City. Chester and Evelyn spent some time visiting Evelyn's niece in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Parzyck,s saw the changing colors of leaves as they drove through the Smokey Mountains. They stayed near Gatlinburg where they toured the arts and crafts shops.
Congratulations to my granddaughter, Samantha Heathcott, on receiving her drivers license.
Thanks to Fritz Guthrie for the interesting program she presented to the Cape Conroe Ladies' Society at their meeting last week. Fritz is the coordinator of the Senior Friends chapter for Conroe. Bettye Weekley and Rose Ann Zolka served wonderful dessert.
Until next week take care, be safe and give someone a hug! Have a Great Week!
