Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to all the ghosts and goblins who will be TrickorTreating in our neighborhood. Remember to leave your porch light on, if you want the trickortreaters to ring your doorbell in search of candies and treats. Watch for the children going from house to house as they are often very excited and forget to watch out for cars. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
Happy 57th Anniversary wishes to Louis and Helen White. They celebrated their anniversary with a steak dinner at the Texas Roadhouse in Conroe. Louis and Helen enjoyed their dinner and cake and ice cream for dessert.
Ten members of the Ladies Society Birthday Lunch Bunch met at the Ming Dynasty Restaurant to celebrate the October birthdays. The October birthday ladies are Olivia Roberts and Carol Clary. Thanks to Pat Wren and Rosemarie MacCartney who coordinate the birthday lunches.
Tuesday, November 2nd the Cape Conroe Ladies' Society will go to Old Town Spring for their November meeting. Meet at the clubhouse at 9:00 a.m. and leave at 9:15 a.m. Vote early as election day is also November 2nd. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to shop till you drop!
I have had a fun week spending time with my grandchildren. I attended Grandparents Day for Matthew Nixon's Soccer game. The grandparents were presented ribbons at halftime ceremony. Congratulations to Matthew who scored two goals.
I went with Jamie Nixon's first grade class on a field trip to the Houston Zoo. Mrs. Gutierrez, Jamie's teacher, led the group of students and parents through the Zoo in search of seeing the animals. Everyone liked seeing the white alligator in the reptile house and the baby elephant.
I assisted Zachary Sanford with making a Halloween scene for a school project. He designed the main character and wrote a story about him. I helped with painting the scene.
Set your clocks back on Saturday night as Daylight Savings Time ends.
Remember to vote on Tuesday, November 2nd.
Until next week take care, be safe and give someone a hug! Have a Great Week!
