Thanksgiving Celebrations
Betty Radcliffe enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with a visit from her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Mark Adams, and their children, Michael, 14, and Shelley, 12. They had a great time shopping, eating out, and decorating Betty's home for the Christmas holidays. Mark and Michael were disappointed that they were unable to play golf due to the rainy weather.
Betty, Lynne and Betty's daughters-in-law, Jodie Radcliffe and Becky Radcliffe, prepared a delicious feast for Thanksgiving Day. Attending the festivities were her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jodie, and Craig and Becky, and her grandchildren, Robert, James, Johnathon and Erin.
The Adams family attended basketball games for James and Johnathon in Huntsville. They play for the Woodlands Competition Basketball League as well as the Montgomery High School team. James and Johnathon's team finished the year for the league with nine wins and one loss and went on to win the championship.
Johnathon also plays basketball for the Texas Elite Basketball team. The team, comprised with athletes from Montgomery and Magnolia, travels to several games around the Houston area.
Robert Radcliffe's soccer team finished their season with six wins and one loss. Robert plays soccer for the YMCA in Conroe.
Frank and Rose Ann Zolka spent their Thanksgiving holiday with their family in Tyler, Texas. Attending the family reunion holiday were their daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Tim Allen, and their children, Caitlin and Erin, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mark Cox, and their children, Christopher and Jonathan, and their daughter Shirley Filicky and her friend, Charles Brown, and her children, Matt, Tony, Nikki and Andrew. The families celebrated Thanksgiving with a wonderful feast.
The family spent a lot of time at Tim's brother's cabin that is located on one hundred acres. Frank and Rose Ann enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch where they could see the private lake, the gazebo with picnic tables, or the barn. The cousins had a wonderful time riding on the ATVs and go-carts, watching the week-old puppies, catching fish and playing pool. Everyone agreed that they had the most fun when they went "mudin" on the ATVs.
Tim's brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Georgeann Allen, and their children, Adrian and Andrew, hosted a bonfire for the families on their last night. Also attending the festivities were his parents, Oliver and Mildred Allen.
Frank, Rose Ann and the families drove through Santa Land where they marveled at all the beautiful scenes decorated for the holidays. The elaborate decorations ranged from motorcycles and trucks to landscapes with lights that looked like running water to nativity scenes.
Ben and Carol Clary celebrated Thanksgiving at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Eric Imhoff, and their children Benton and Daniel in The Woodlands. Several families and friends also attended the celebration.
