Enough! Let’s clean up our backyard
Hey Ya’ll!
Hope all is well with you and yours. My thoughts are not really on my article lately, but instead on the impending war with Iraq and the growing concern in North Korea. Where is all of this going? Folks, I don’t have a quick answer and I certainly am not qualified to instruct our government or military in the methods to end all of this. What I will say is that WE as a Nation need to clean up our own back yard and get back to the basics. We have hunger in our nation, we have oil (awll) in our ground, we desperately need a fix in Healthcare, Insurance and IRS Tax Reform (fair reform).
We need to do something about special interest groups and lean on ourselves to fix the problems. Politicians will not fix our problems. (Democrats or Republicans Bea!) Only we can fix our problems. We send elected officials to run our government, and because of minority voices (I’m not talking about color, race, or place of origin here) laws are changed and the majority suffers because of them. I’m not being un-Patriotic here; I’m talking practical reasoning. If Iraq is a threat (I think they are!) Then lets “Whup Their Butts!”, but as a nation united not divided. Politicians-- allow us, your constituents, to get rakes and help ya’ll (in other words--clean up our back yard’s first!) We all need to start voting. If we do this, I think running for an office can be less of a “Who has the biggest war Chest full of money” and more of a “Who can actually do what we ask or want.” Let’s stop letting big money run our lives. Enough already!
I don’t know about ya’ll-- but tonight I’m going to hit my knees and pray! Pray for our country, our troops, and I’m going to thank Him for allowing me the chance to live in a FREE NATION!
