| Curran Events Howdy ya’ll. I don’t know about any of you but the past week was real interesting and like most of you I have tried to keep up with the war our nation is engaged in. Pray that none of our young men and women are placed in "Harm’s Way". All of this has taught many of us to be a little wary and as of last week any mail delivered to our house with no return address is being left in the box. I am the only one going to the mailbox and I am making sure I wash my hands after handling it. Now this may sound a little over-kill to some, but think back when many of us were in school and going through "Air-Raid" drills- like our desks were going to keep us from injury, but you never know! WOW! I went to King’s last Monday with Stuart Traylor and got accused of running for office because of all the hands I was shaking--Not going to happen folks, I was just greeting friends I’ve not seen in sometime, thanks to all of you asking about my health, thanks for the "Hug" from Liz, as always King’s is a good place to go, as in all the other restaurants in our town. It’s good to begin getting out again and besides I’m too opinionated to be a politician! Get this, a weathercaster, who is rumored to live in this area and is touted as an expert, recently made this report- "the wind is out of the Northeast at o (zero) miles per hour". That sounds like a political party to me--direction but no movement. Hey, I’ve been promising to write about "Cowboy" Bill. Well here goes.. Ya’ll ever go up to his trailer? Are those dogs and horses real? Maybe they could be paper mache`! Maybe he’s from California and he’s still looking for the area where the "Floats" line up for the Rose Bowl Parade. Do you suppose those spurs are "welded" on to his boots! The other day that rope from his saddle-horn looked liked some of Jerry’s ‘Bob-War-Art!’. NAW! I’ve known Bill Sallas for a long time and he’s as real as they come. Why heck, he and I are famous up a K-STAR radio, if any of you business folks need a "dang" good commercial, call us we are radio "per-son’nalities". There Bill, now don’t go around town whining about me never mentioning your name in my article--Love Ya "Pard" Hey Bo! Roll’n, Roll’n, Roll’n Keep those Wagons roll’n! Bobby what’s up? The Corner looks awesome! You know just when we all think our kids are not paying attention, we get a pleasure like Jerri Sue and I had last week-end. Cody came home Friday night "dragg’n" B.R. "Mr. Dynamite" Hollie home to spend the night. Kids still respect grown-ups, have manners and listen to instructions. Jerri Sue and I are blessed that Cody has such good friends and to those of you who have allowed your kids to stay at our home--Congratulations! Ya’ll have done a great job raising your youngsters and they are welcome anytime! Mark, Thanks for the use of the "Q Machine" I didn’t notice any "Grumman 601's", that’s "Bombers" out at DDR. Let’s get prepared, who knows what in our future! From Montgomery’s Sagebrush Philosopher. Until next time. Good Cow Call’n. Good Frog Gigg’n and Go Ag’s. Yo! Mr Ogg! Whasssss Up! |
