Who We Are

Hey, Ya’ll. How many of you are watching the World Series? Best TV watching going right now. Remember the "Miracle Mets" How about them Yankees, except for the 15-2 stomp they’re amazing. Reminds me of my early years--who are the Yankees going to play in the World Series this year, broke my heart when Bill Mazeroski hit the bottom of the ninth home run in the 1960 Series, at old Forbes’s Field in Pittsburgh to beat the Yanks in seven games. Well it’s happened again "Gonzo" ex-Astro Gonzalez gets the game’s winning hit in the bottom of the ninth to give Arizona the Championship. Hats off to the Yankees they played with heart after the tragedy in New York it would have been fitting they win, but you’ve got to give Arizona their due.

Larry Anderson my ex-rodeo traveling partner came by Saturday to talk "Pig Latin" with me. Hey, ettbra, odyca uresha ashaa oodga owsha igpa, yup! I think that’s how you do Pig Latin, what things we did as kids, with our Bobbie-socks and sock-hops. Larry lives up by the National Forest he awoke Saturday morning to gunfire! No, Ruth did not have the TV on watching the real war. Saturday was Opening Day of Deer Season. Larry said trucks were parked up and down 149 every ten feet. Wonder what the deer thought? Ya’ll cull the paper with those "true" I got the "Big One", big buck stories. Heard a rumor, Dr. Tom Little is hunting from a ground stand ask Bob and Lloyd about that.

Hey, Carroll, I want to hear this pig story. Seems that the other son Jace got his show pig recently, but it got loose and took off! Someone told James and Carroll just put out some feed and he’ll come back, yup shore did! Hey Cowboy Bill you and your "Cow Mule" need to be out at the fair around Show time just in case you need to rope the "Porker" what a way to get your names in the paper Langley’s!

Speaking of the World Series Regina and I were talking the other day about Flag "decorum" you folks out there that are flying "tattered" flags. Shame on you! Flags are expensive but if you can’t replace them at the proper time then don’t fly one! Also those who think its okay to fly one around the clock to keep from taking one down and putting it back up, it is only if you have a light on it during night-time hours. It’s meant to be showcased!

Also, what’s wrong with people who, during the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner" keep their caps on, don’t put their hands over their heart, talk during the song or hang their heads? Look folks, this is the United States of America, show her some

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, RESPECT, after all the song’s not that long what’s so important that you can’t do what’s right? And oh yeah, these dang cell-phones are good to have for emergencies but what are you doing calling someone during our National Anthem!

Look folks, our backs are against the wall, if our enemies see Americans being dis-respectful then its just fuel for more propaganda--Get a Grip!

From Montgomery’s Sagebrush Philosopher, until next time. Good Cow Call’n. Food Frog Gigg’n and Go Ags.

Adios
