| Curran Events Hey Ya’ll! If it were not for my wonderful secretary, Regina, you would not be reading an article by me this week. Nope, thank goodness she called. I think the Dog Days of Summer are already here! Speaking of forgetting, no I have not forgotten that STACEY SHARP will be celebrating the BIG 40! This month. Hey Garry, Do Not buy any BLACK BALLOONS! It doesn’t sit well with women folk! I sure have been seeing lots of folks out and about. Just to name a few--Russell Watson and Dewitt Reagan were in King’s the other morning and Mr. Reagan actually remembers when I could ski barefooted on Lake Forest Falls! True ya’ll, I could! Good friend Tom Price is back locally doing some construction work. He’s presently building a "Steak House" for Lloyd on Bob Peel’s lot--Good Luck Lloyd. Liz has been "wrassling" with a problem lately but Stuart and I got it bolted down for her. Ya’ll figure that out. Colonel Laughter turning 83, and he can still party--well he should be able to party his wife "Reba" in only 35! Happy Birthday "Colonel Laudanum"! That’s what I call him. I call him that because being around someone like the "Colonel" is great for what "ails" ya! Congratulations to all of our MHS students for completing another year of school. To our MHD GRADs good luck in the future as many of you begin a new chapter in your lives. And speaking of young people, please be safe this summer and have a good time. COMMUNICATE with your parents. Last week’s article was about a very controversial issue but with the growth of our county the sign laws need some help and those who must enforce the laws need some help. I would invite you to voice your opinions to MCN or your local officials. Look for some new and exciting things to happen to MCN. Last week the staff met and discussed issues. Look for new ads, more news worthy articles and the number one objective better editing--errors are made by all but we all agreed that MCN can be one of the best local RAGS around with a little fine tuning. Whomever is given the task of editing my article has their work cut out for them! I’ve already blown some "Chips" in Regina’s computer. From Montgomery’s Sagebrush Philosopher until next time. Good Cow Call’n. Good Frog Gigg’n and Go Ags. Adios P.S. Hey Doc Fennessy! How’s your Cow Call’n lessons going?\ |
