Hey Ya’ll!

OK, OK I will not write anymore political or controversial articles again, welllllllllll-

maybe not for a while. Some of my readers want more about folks and happenings in our area and all good journalists will do what their reading public wants.

So here goes. Next week starts a new school year, way too early in mine and most others I’ve talked with opinion’s but we do not set the schedules. To all you MISD students, have a great year, study, study and study some more. Make your community proud in every endeavor you undertake. To our wonderful administrators, teachers, support staff and school board members please do your very best to educate our children so that they can be prepared for a future that will certainly be a challenge. I know many of you on a personal level and I know you won’t disappoint so best wishes and good luck.

With the beginning of school also brings about lifestyle changes, Friday night football, field trips, and many other extra curricular activities. To all parents and volunteers who make time to help with these remember that you are helping "mold their futures".

What’s this I hear about Jan ordering a "sour pickle" shake the other day at the Depot? How about Craig, Ray and Ford going about town asking, "Where’s the beef?" sonny has coined a new phrase known as "NO" Ted Swell is taking Public Speaking classes for the upcoming Announcers season--What? Sharon was quit at the 4-H meeting--NO WAY! Bobby has applied for Flight School. Cole, Isaac and Scott have started a flight school and have asked for contributions, but since they "cooked their books" they are taking only CASH donations. Paige is taking NERVE-WRACKING classes since she is the 4-H Guru Huh? Hey Joe how are you and Red truck? Where has Gentry been? Markie don’t get in a hurry with my fill dirt! Tom and Zack can build better than the "City Slicker" contractors any day of the week!

Dr. D and Dr. S., two famous Baby Doctors will be delivering "Kings" Nay-Nay’s baby for her. Good luck Becky with your. Brandon and Bobby have enrolled in "Diaper 101" at Dobbin University. Curtis and Maureen have no children of their own but claim 500 dependents. Kenneth and I are working on our secret "Pig" formulas. There ya’ll wanted it now ya’ll figure it out! More next week.

On a serious note, a good friend of Montgomery’s is recovering from a surgery that has required extensive re-hab. Ya’ll join me in wishing Russell Watson a speed recovery. Russell you are in my prayers and the prayers of many others as well. Russell is down at TIRR in the Houston Medical Center. God Speed, Mr. Watson. Take comfort in knowing that you are in the premiere facility in the world for your needs. Right Trevor?!

From Montgomery’s Sagebrush Philosopher, until next time. Good Cow Call’n. Good Frog Gigg’n and Go Ag’s. Adios.
