In My Opinion...Not That You Asked
Desperate Times Lead to Desperate Measures

My grandfather once told me that if you throw a rock at bunch of dogs, the only dog that yelps is the one the rock hits. This is a wonderful analogy of the Kerry campaign's reaction to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ads.
Now, in a very illadvised counter attack, the supposedly nonpartisan, totally neutral CBS News (anchored by the official Kerry campaign spokesman, Dan Rather), have released some documents from an undisclosed source that show Bush in a very negative light. According to these Vietnamera military documents, Bush was reprimanded by his National Guard Wing Commander for failing to get his flight physical updated, and was therefore kicked off flight status.
Unfortunately for CBS, these documents appear to be fraudulent. The author of the supposed originals is deceased, but his son stated that his father didn't write letters like that, and claimed none were in his father's files. Further, nobody ever attempted to contact him about his father's records, so he therefore challenges how they suddenly appeared.
What really supports the case for fraud are not only the numerous experts (from both sides of the political isle) who have identified the documents as fakes, but by simply looking with a little knowledge about the difference between computers and typewriters: if someone were to write "The 101st Fighter Attack Wing," the 'st' after the 101 is tiny and raised, due to computer text formatting. At least one of the documents now in question has this type of print. Typewriters in the 1972 era did not have the technology to produce such formatted text, and I don't even believe such a typewriter exists even today.
If this current situation was reversed, and these seemingly fake documents were used against Kerry instead of Bush, all of the Liberal networks (ABC, NBC, CNN, Headline News, MSNBC,) would be in a feeding frenzy over the Republicansponsored fake documents. There simply would not be anything else on television. But alas, the networks maintain their Leftleaning agenda. They act like this never happened, all in a vain attempt to protect their Liberal candidate.
It would seem the Democrats threw their rock, but it was made of rubber, and it bounced back and hit them on the nose. Oops!
