In My Opinion...Not That You Asked
CBS shows its true colors
from Scot P. Bauer

After an almost three week long denialathon, CBS News finally admits that they've been caught. In a blatant antiBush/ProKerry 60 Minutes segment trashing the President's National Guard service, CBS and Dan Rather used a source that has strong Democratic ties.
Bill Burkett, a former National Guard Lt. Colonel and Bush hater, has been part of a five year investigation digging into the President's Guard service, all in desperate attempts to discredit Bush. With only a little over a month left before the election, Bill Burkett uses a common Liberal tactic: he lies. But instead of just committing slander, he commits an act of libel by producing fakes documents.
Continuing to goose step down the party line, the ultraLeft New York Times ran a front page headline insisting that although the documents were a "reproduction," the contents were "factual." In case there is any misunderstanding, 'reproduction' is a Liberal spin word for 'forged' or 'faked'.
As far as the truth about the contents of a fake document (?), try using that line when you get caught by the IRS after submitting forged W2 forms (or, more accurately, 'reproduced' W2 forms).
Naturally, the Kerry campaign denies any connection or involvement with this entire incident, but that has proven to be another Liberal lie. Joe Lockhart, a Kerry senior advisor, was in direct contact with Bill Burkett only days before the news about these fraudulent documents surfaced. Ironically, it was Lockhart who appeared on TV weeks ago when the scandal started and told reporters that they had absolutely nothing to due the story or the documents.
On Tuesday, September 21, Joe Lockhart was on TV trying to spin reporters into now believing that he didn't talk to Burkett about the story based on the forged documents during the previously denied conversation only days before it aired, although he did admit to listening to a conversation with Burkett about the documents. Liar.
Dan Rather and CBS News claimed that Burkett approached them with the documents, and that CBS didn't go looking for the antiBush story. Now the Left leaning CBS admits to tracking down Burkett with a crew to 'see what he had found' on their quest to trash the President. Liars.
CBS News first stated that their 'experts' verified the authenticity of the documents. What passes for experts by CBS standards (at least when trying to justify an antiBush story) is a little questionable: one 'expert's only qualification was a correspondence course on handwriting analysis, and the other worked as a typewriter repairman in the 1970's. I do believe that is a stretch on the word 'expert.'
I like to fish when I'm working offshore. Do you think CBS will call on me as an expert on aquatic life or the migratory habits of whales? How about the seasonal tide patterns of the Gulf? I'm holding my breath...
CBS News, with its blatant Liberal lean, has now, officially, become nothing more than a tabloid as far as I can tell. In an attempt to defame the president while acting as an agent for the Democrats, CBS News has lost all credibility as a 'news' station.
After a five year quest to trash Bush, and with only a few weeks left to dig up dirt, desperate Liberals lower themselves to...acting like the Left. They create scandal, create evidence, and create results. Liars.
