Story of 24 Bears

What a wonderful article about 24 great Seniors from MHS! The heart and pride that these young men showed during a hard fought season is something to be admired by all. Your statement "it's not whether you win or lose but how well you played the game" says it all about this team.

Dear Editor:

Week in and week out your sports writer, Brett Bowen writes one sided, prejudice, small town boy articles about Montgomery H.S Football, and for that we would like to say THANK YOU!!! 
Every week no matter how ugly the game, you make our boys heroes, focusing on the great plays and teamwork rather than the negative, allowing our boys to have their "15 minutes of fame". For the Senior players and families, it is sad to know that noone will ever be as great an advocate for them as you have been since 7th grade when they started playing for Montgomery Jr High. We thank you sharing the same opinions that normally only the parents have and for giving our boys a place to shine.
