Local resident drowns in Montgomery
Local resident drowns in Montgomery
On Saturday June 26, 2010, at approximately 12 noon Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies and Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to the 1000 Block of Mohawk Drive in Montgomery, Texas in reference to a drowning.
The victim, now identified as 38 year old Toyna Kay Rizzo of Conroe, was found dead in a private lake.
The victim was not identified until June 27, the following day when a family friend saw the broadcast about the investigation on a Houston television news channel and alerted family members who contacted Sheriff's Office investigators late that night.
The cause of death remains under investigation and no new information is available for release.
The cooperative working relationship between the Sheriff's Office and the news media aided in the quick identification of this victim.
